Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team based in ROCHESTER, New York. As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for various accounting and financial tasks, such as invoicing clients, processing payroll, and assisting with month end and quarter close processes. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the billing of grants efficiently and accurately

• Process client invoices using ERP systems and other accounting software systems

• Assist in processing payroll for a small team, using platforms such as Workday

• Contribute to the month end and quarter close processes

• Manage and multitask various accounting functions effectively

• Answer inbound calls and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Use computerized billing systems to ensure customer credit records are up to date and accurate

• Collaborate with team members and demonstrate excellent team player skills

• Proactively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Computerized Billing

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures

• Ability to handle and respond to inbound calls

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new processes

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
