Seeking Bilingual Professionals to support my partner Nintendo of America in Redmond as a Translator & Interpreter!
We are looking for individuals who share a passion for the video game industry and will work closely with the Nintendo's Product Testing Team.
Description:
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (What):
• Performs translation and interpretation related to software development including bug logs, daily correspondence, game design documents, market research and testing material.
• Acts as liaison with Japanese game developers and assists in scheduling and planning
• Actively engages in ongoing process improvement as well as personal development
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of policies, procedures and workflows
• Coordinates with internal and external groups on project management and short to long-term planning
• Perform all job responsibilities in strict adherence to corporate prototype security policy and procedures
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external contacts
Skills: Translation, Interpretation, Fluent Japanese, Gaming Familiarity
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
§ Minimum of three years of related experience
§ Highly proficient in verbal and written communication in English and Japanese (native level in both languages)
§ Knowledge of video game software/hardware and industry strongly preferred
§ Ability to multi-task under pressure in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
§ Ability to confidently and articulately speak in meetings
§ Excellent understanding of Japanese business culture and etiquette
§ Intermediate to high level of proficiency in MS Office applications
§ Excellent relationship building skills, problem solving and cross-group collaboration
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
§ AA or higher in Language, Communication, Business, or equivalent
Pay: $32-50 (DOE)
Schedule: Mon-Thurs. (9:00 AM - 6:15 PM) Fri. (9:00 AM - 3:30 PM) OT availability needed depending on business need
Contract: 11 months (mandatory 2 month break once contract terms are met with potential renewal once 2 month break is fulfilled)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid). Can consider applicants outside of WA if you're considering relocation.
