JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary The Bid Runner is responsible fordelivering and retrieving bid documents, contracts, and otherconstruction documents as requested. May assist Project Coordinators andProject Managers with other administrative duties as needed. May berequired to pick up parts or make other various courier runs asrequested. Work is performed on a part-time, on call basis. Hours mayvary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Delivers completed andnon-completed bid forms. Accurately records bid amounts as directed byProject Manager, Estimator, or Project Coordinator Relays informationback to the Project Manager, Estimator, or Project coordinator. Picks upand delivers contracts, plans, checks, bid bonds, and other constructiondocuments as requested. Assists Project Coordinators with plandocuments, copying, filing, archiving and other duties administrativeduties. Occasional courier runs for part pickup, supplies, or otheritems upon request. Keeps supervisor informed of known actions, writtenor verbal, which may affect the ability to successfully performassignments or adversely affect company operations. Other projects asrequested or required by Management. Required Knowledge, Skills, andAbilities High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or oneto three months related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience. Ability to work under pressure.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required. Mustbe able to follow directions and navigate city driving. Knowledge ofMicrosoft Office Suite. Ability to prioritize and take immediate actionon high-priority tasks. Ability to produce accurate work products.Effective communication skills both oral and written with internal andexternal customers. Ability to positively represent Veit to customersand external stakeholders. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience submitting and delivering public bids is desirable, but notrequired. Other Schedule is Monday through Friday on a part-time,on-call basis. Must be able to work flexible schedule. Hours may vary.Overnight travel may be required on occasion. Must be able to pass apre-employment drug test. Ability to maintain a satisfactory MotorVehicle Record (MVR). Must be able to utilize personal vehicle for bidruns. Minimum insurance requirements apply. Mileage reimbursement willbe provided.
