Job Description

　　Position Summary:

　　The BI DevOps role will be part of the Performance and Productivity team supporting the reporting needs of various terms throughout GBS Shared Services including OTC, RTR and PTP.

　　This is a global role working across our Shared Services Centers in Costa Rica, Hungary and Scotland.

　　This role will work along with stakeholders and colleagues to deliver tools, metrics and dashboards.

　　The objective would be to help prepare Thermo Fisher Scientific to effectively & efficiently scale up to the company’s 2030 vision of becoming a $50B revenue organization

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　BI Infrastructure Management:

　　Maintain, configure, and optimize BI tools, including data warehouses, ETL pipelines, reporting platforms, and visualization tools.

　　Ensure high availability and performance of BI systems through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.

　　Automation and Scripting:

　　Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline BI processes, deployments, and data workflows.

　　Implement infrastructure as code (IAC) principles to manage and version control infrastructure components.

　　CI/CD Implementation:

　　Establish and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for BI projects, ensuring a smooth development-to-production process.

　　Performance Optimization:

　　Identify and address performance bottlenecks in BI systems, optimizing queries, data pipelines, and data storage.

　　Collaboration:

　　Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions.

　　Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to align BI infrastructure with broader company infrastructure standards.

　　Documentation:

　　Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for BI infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

　　Skills/Education :

　　Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

　　3+ years of experience in BI DevOps or a similar role.

　　Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI or similar.

　　Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and SQL.

　　Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g. Power Automate).

　　Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

　　Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

　　Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

　　Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
