The BI Analyst II drives Patterson’s data-driven culture by empowering users to effectively leverage data as part of their decision-making process. This role provides the tools and self-service support to enable well-informed business decisions and constructive customer experience through data-driven solutions. Role expectations include business partnership with executive leadership and their teams, the ability to educate and understand the overall business, and the ability to learn and become a subject matter expert on Patterson’s various enterprise data and software systems.
Responsibilities:
Business Partnership – Data & Analytics collaborator with a set of Patterson leaders (ex: Finance, Marketing, Operations, Commercial Sales, or Supply Chain), ensuring business partners can access and use data for effective decision-making.
Translation of requirements and coordination among key stakeholders and IT
Assess and identify business needs and gaps against current reporting, data, and analytics solutions.
Ensure user engagement and adoption with training materials and events for data and analytics end users
Develop or productionize data, reporting, and analytics solutions.
Perform ad hoc analysis when needed including data mining and cleansing and completing data analysis using any available analytics tool set.
Support larger data and analytics projects, including projects that require coordination with development from transactional systems and projects that span multiple business processes.
Anticipate problems or needs and address them.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred focus areas - Data & Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
3+ years’ experience in collaborating with business partners and delivering actionable data and insights that drive business value
Partner with business units to develop analytics/reporting to support strategic initiatives stable, scalable, reliable data operations.
Work collaboratively with all business areas to assess unmet/new business needs and solutions.
Development experience in common reporting and analytics tools (SAP BusinessObjects, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Azure, etc…)
Business Acumen – Has knowledge of business and operational processes, and general knowledge of financial and planning methods and processes.
Demonstrated ability to learn new business processes, and data and analytics tools
Self-starter with a high degree of motivation to learn and go above and beyond to help business partners and team succeed.
Exceptional problem solving, analytical, data visualization, project management, logical reasoning skills
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership

The potential compensation range for this role is 75,000.00 - 85,000.00. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.
