　　Job Description

　　Performs billing and collection activities for services provided by behavioral health division, utilizing a variety of electronic systems in the course of this work.

　　Minimum Requirements

　　High School Diploma or equivalent.

　　Three years minimum experience in healthcare billing.

　　Must have proficient knowledge of claim denial and appeals process.

　　Must have computer literacy and math aptitude, and the ability to use 10-key calculator, computer key board, and basic software applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

　　Knowledge of all applicable regulations related to specific payers such as Medicare, Medicaid insurance is required

　　Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD9/10 and CPT4 coding.

　　Good oral and written communication skills

　　Demonstrated problem solving skills

　　Proficient level of experience in navigation of Direct Data Entry software, (DDE) EMOMED and commercial payer websites.

　　Functioned for six months as a BH Patient Accounts Representative within the organization

　　Preferred Requirements

　　Associates Degree

　　Certificate in Medical Billing
