  Benefits Administrator

  This role is responsible for facilitating benefit support to associates. Duties include but are not limited to researching, analyzing, and resolving associate benefit concerns.

  This is a fully remote role that follows EST standard weekday daytime hours.

  Essential Functions: Have a strong command of US Benefit programs up to and including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, COBRA, 401k and Life insurance.Must possess a strong command in FMLA, Workers Compensation, and Disability ProgramsAssist in handling International Benefits to include Canada and invoicing for Latin America (LATAM) Benefits.Leads life cycle of associate inquiries via email to include researching, analyzing, and resolving.Partners with management to resolve escalated benefits related inquiries and effectively communicate to associates.Assist in handling relationships with preferred vendors.Assesses trends related to inquiries from associates and evaluates alternatives and solutions.Identifies required changes in business processes and recommends modification to improve delivery of benefit programs.Acts as a liaison between associates, managers and/or HR Business Partners to educate on benefit policies and procedures.Assists in development of associate communications, website content, and ideas to improve associate engagement.Performs ongoing compliance audits to ensure all policies and procedures are handled accordinglyHandle all labor related claims (i.e. DOL, EEOC) with Legal and HR Compliance partnersOther assignments and special projects as assigned.Skills:Communication - Outstanding verbal and written skills.Active Listening - Give full attention, takes time to recognize the problem/situation, and asks questions as appropriate.Critical Thinking - Use logic to identify problems or trends. Leverage knowledge and resources to identify solutions or conclusions.Advanced Computer Skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.Organizational Skills - Prioritize tasks and locate necessary items, emails, documents, or forms easily.Meets Deadlines - Accomplish tasks on time, working both individually and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.Teamwork - Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.Demonstrates strong work ethicTrained in management of HIPAA and Personal Health Information(PHI)Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceA minimum of 3-5 years of Health and Welfare experienceExperience working with human resources information systems (HRIS)Vendor management experienceExperience working in a fast-paced environmentExperience handling Canadian and LATAM benefits plan (not necessary but a plus)Workday experience is a plus but not vital.Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $75,000/ year depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

  This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
