About George Junior Republic:

　　Founded in 1909, George Junior Republic is dedicated to helping at-risk youth become successful, well-adjusted adults, capable of achieving a higher degree of citizenship and a better understanding of his responsibility to society, family and self.

　　Position Overview:

　　This position requires the ability to maintain accountability for the location of residents at all times, ensuring the safety, security and surveillance of assigned youth, function in stressful situations, knowledge of behavioral management skills, ability to respond effectively and professionally in crisis situations, management and operation of electronic safety/security equipment and documentation of shift events and security checks. You must also be able and willing to physically restrain person served when necessary to ensure the safety of the youth and others. 

　　Requirements:

　　- Must have an associates degree or a minimum of 60 credits.

　　Must be able to perform safety procedures as needed.

　　Must be able to pass a physical and be able to physically restrain youth when necessary.
