The Battery Manufacturing Engineering team is opening new highways with our next-generation propulsion systems. Utilizing an entrepreneurial spirit in developing manufacturing systems to be part of our team delivering on Ford's goal of capacitizing for 2,000,000 EVs by 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do...
Lead site installation & MEP Facilities activities with JV Partner supporting the BOSK Joint VentureResponsible for delivery of Site CM/PM (Construction Management / Project Management) contractsSupport installation engineering design, installation plan and hook-up for BOSK high-volume battery manufacturing plants. The BOSK Joint Venture will be launching three high-volume Battery Cell/Array plantsEnsure robust safety systems in-place and work with JV partner to ensure compliance to JV and Government requirementsEnsure all applicable safety requirements to support FAS 08-075 are to a satisfactory standard and completed at the correct time, must include all main contractors and all sub-contractorsAssist Ford Land with oversight responsibility to ensure Architectural Engineering contracts and services are aligned in delivering designs compliant to Ford Land Construction Specifications and PTME Strategies and SpecificationsEnsure AE/CM/Sub-contractor designs utilize 3D tools that are incorporated into BIM designs for design verification, constructability, material and task planning, safety pre-task planning using photographs from scanning for pre-demolition, safety pre-task analysis development, and as-built design delivery to the plantParticipate in the cost study process for New Model Programs with PTME and Ford Land facility Teams ensuring program funding and line item definition are built in support of program initiativesAs required, issue purchase orders to generate the initiation of orders within the CM / AE in the Ford Purchasing systemResponsible for the management of the work order process for Plant Skilled Trades and associated review of estimates in support of work plans to ensure competitiveness.Lead indicted cost tracking utilizing PTME Program checkbook processesManage timing deck reviews and updates holding weekly CM/contractor/AE Owners ReviewsReview and provide vital payments for applicable invoices (CM, AE, Safety, Environmental and Third-Party Testing and Certification, etc.) on a monthly basis using the Global Payment Approval ProcessProvide updates to electronic program status systems (BPR decks, Program Manager monthly 1- pagers, PTME Monthly Infrastructure Team Program Reviews, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
You'll have...
2-year or 4-year DegreeIndividual must be a team player and willing to take a leadership role in a project settingStrong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD)Self-starting (learner and growth mindset), self-directed with extremely good influential, organizational, and interpersonal skillsStrong manufacturing backgroundAbility to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic JV working environment, working with international JV Partner and diverse teamAbility to travel (up to 75%) outside of Midwestern region ahead of and during Installation & Commissioning phase of projectFlexibility in work location, ability to travel, work overtime and holidays when requiredPotential area(s) of responsibilities include Battery Electrode Assembly, Formation and Module areas, supporting launches at all BOSK Kentucky and Tennessee sites. Travel up to 70% between Kentucky and Tennessee
