This is a Sherman Associates owned Marriott franchised location. The Night Auditor is a key member of the Guest Services team responsible for the overnight operations of the Hotel, verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues, as well as assisting with all aspects of guest services. The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring to provide the highest level of guest service and that company standards are met and maintained at all times. A Night Auditor must have a positive and professional upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to guests. Schedule: We are currently seeking full-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends. Essential Functions: Maintains complete knowledge of hotel's food and beverage preparation. Up-sells alcohol and food items. Uses a computer to accurately ring orders on a check. Accepts different types of payment and makes accurate change. Completes specific side-work and ensures the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant. Quickly clears and resets tables. Maintains inventory of bar materials including, but not limited to: wine, beer, and spirits. Checks identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages. Refuses to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age. Observes behavior, counts number of drinks served that contain alcohol, elevates to manager for intervention as needed. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to Food Handlers guidelines. Treats all guests in a manner that ensure their complete satisfaction and strives to exceed guest expectations and meet brand standards. Adheres to Sherman Associates attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, general work rules, and department procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment, follows all procedures for guests and employee incidents and is knowledgeable for hotel emergency procedures. Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs. Minimum Requirements Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred. Must be able to pass required Alcohol service training. Minimum 1 year of experience as a bartender required; additional restaurant or banquet experience is strongly preferred. Must be flexible with scheduling and availability as this position will have a varying schedule based on demand. Benefits Sherman Associates strives o lead the market in the benefits we offer.
