Join us at InterContinental Malta as we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the operations of our vibrant and popular bar. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of bar operations.
Responsibilities:
Together with the Outlet Managers, and under the guidance of the Food & Beverage Manager, this role is to ensure a smooth running of the outlets.
Train, schedule, and motivate bar staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Assist in continuous improvement and use all necessary tools to operate the Department in an efficient manner, reaching the highest levels of standards of guest, as well as employee satisfaction.
Controls direct financial responsibility for all outlets to include cover and revenue forecasting, labour forecasting, monitoring food and beverage costs, as well as control all bottom-line expenses.
Prepare training program for all team members and its implementation.
Understand the opening and closing procedures for all outlets.
Develop and update drink menus, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain adequate stock.
Skills and experience:
Knowledge in IT/Micros POS and systems: Test run, optimize, feedback and train, as needed, all team members on operating the system.
Proven experience as a Bar Manager.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Excellent English both written and verbally, any other language ability will be an advantage.
