Job Description
The Group Disability Business Enablement Team has a directive to build solutions to enable, improve or automate the work functions of the Group Disability and Life teams. This is achieved through collaboration with the business collaborators to understand the business needs, present recommended solutions, and working with the business through an entire cycle to develop, test and implement the solutions into production.
The Automation (RPA) Developer will be driving the implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and web-based solutions to achieve this directive with the Business Enablement Team.
As the successful candidate, you will collaborate closely with business analysts, business partners and third-party consultants to deliver Manulife’s automation solutions by governing efficient use of time, technology and resources. The ideal candidate will have strong technology background and the ability to govern the design, development and implementation of automation projects.
The Automation (RPA) Developer will also closely collaborate with numerous areas including functional teams, business analysts, and developers within the Manulife RPA and IT community.
Responsibilities:
Work with the business to identify automation opportunities, by analyzing new processes and assessing feasibility
Analyzing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required
Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements
Designing, developing & configuring automation process solutions
Creating and maintaining solution documentation
Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process
Problem solving issues that arise in day-to-day running of automation processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required
Working in an Agile environment, communicating any identified risks and barriers to the Project Manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process
Working with QA to create and document test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and deployment phases
Qualifications:
2+ years experience Automation (RPA) Development
Programming/coding certification in Automation Anywhere (Version 11.3 and/ or AA360) or equivalent automation platform
Programming/coding experience in JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, GraphQL, Apollo or similar (desirable)
Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
An understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagram
Ability to understand business requirements & develop appropriate automation solutions
Excellent documentation writing skills
Experience in an Agile Development model
MS Visio along with strong MS Excel skills
Knowledge of Insurance/Banking industry processes and/or systems (desirable)

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
CAN, Ontario - Full Time Remote
Salary range is expected to be between
$60,000.00 CAD - $100,000.00 CAD
