Auto Damage Claims Adjusters handle auto claims through the life-cycle including but not limited to: investigation, evaluation and claim resolution. The purpose of this position is to provide service to agents, insureds and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.

　　Responsibilities

　　Investigate assigned claims, confirm coverage, and verify damages

　　Take loss reports directly from insureds and/or claimants and/or their representatives

　　Initiate initial claims handling

　　Evaluate, setting and recommending reserves

　　Negotiation and settlement of claims

　　Requirements

　　Associate’s or bachelor’s Degree preferred

　　3 to 5 years of experience adjusting automobile physical damage and liability claims

　　Possess excellent oral and written communication skills via in person, on the phone, and in electronic interactions

　　Excellent understanding and skill level of claim handling and customer service

　　Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills

　　VT and NH Property & Casualty adjusters license or the ability to obtain licensing preferred

　　Commercial Lines experience a plus
