ABOUT THE TEAM:
At Aumni (recently acquired by JPMorgan), our Product team is reimagining venture portfolio management and operations as a streamlined digital experience by empowering customers with the legal and financial data they need to make faster, smarter decisions. We're looking for a collaborative program manager who wants to drive delivery and commercialization of our most cutting edge applied AI technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Program Manager for Research and Applied Machine Learning (RAML) at Aumni, you will be responsible for supporting our data science leadership and teams in the delivery, approval, and integration of novel AI/ML technologies into our various product lines and lines of business. The RAML team is a technology development organization that supports multiple products and businesses in Digital Private Markets, and this role will get a unique view into all of them, in order to connect novel technologies to products and their customers.
With responsibility for this delivery, the RAML Program Manager will be responsible for spearheading regulatory, legal, and other approvals and for liaising with corporate functions relevant to the team's work. The Program Manager will also will work directly with project and product management for DPM product teams and the infrastructure teams that support them, with the goal of maximizing commercial impact of the RAML technologies. This role is focused on the execution and completion of a complex book of work.
Understand applied AI concepts and applications of data science in a financial services setting, collaborate with scientists and product teams to facilitate successful technology integration and transfer.
Be passionate about the application of data to solve business problems and provide a competitive edge
Have a solid understanding of modern data science use cases, and the governance, risk and controls required operating within a regulated commercial environment to create robust deliverables.
Collaborate, align, and motivate cross-functional teams across data science, data engineering and software engineering skillsets to achieve commercial objectives
Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and customers to promote data products, engage for feedback, and gather insights to improve the product with new features or identify risks to ensure business continuity
REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of experience a product, project, or program manager and 2+ of experience as a DS or in ML in an applied, technical role
Strong background in Data Analytics, visualization, and AI/ML
Working product-level knowledge of core AI topics like machine learning algorithms, deep learning, Python programming, AI workflows
Experience in regulated environments and large company processes, including legal reviews, IP reviews, model governance, etc.
Strong communication skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical senior stakeholders across multiple business units
Ability to make independent decisions and handle complex product prioritization tradeoffs
Experience in and an understanding of agile development methodologies
Ability to work well with internal teams, including data scientists, developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations
Understanding the venture capital or financial industry and its ecosystem
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience in and an understanding of agile development methodologies
SQL and/or minimal python or R experience for quick analytics, preparation of outputs for different stakeholders, etc.
