Description

A small Minneapolis-based law firm located downtown is seeking an attorney to join its civil litigation team. The firm focuses exclusively on representing property owners, landlords, and managers in both residential and commercial real estate matters. This role involves advocacy in housing court, bankruptcy court, and Minnesota district courts, emphasizing housing law, including defending claims under state and federal fair housing standards. The successful candidate will be passionate about trial work, thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, and possess strong analytical, organizational, research, writing, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients at court hearings.

Handle case negotiations.

Prepare and manage trials.

Draft and present legal motions.

Maintain clear and professional communication with clients.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

A law degree with an active license to practice law.

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and good standing with the bar.

At least one year of experience working in a law firm or corporate legal environment.

Demonstrated strong academic performance.
