Primary Duties &Responsibilities: Responsible for setting and updating the company\'sfinancial standards and requirements for life insurance underwriting.This requires researching, developing, writing, reviewing, andimplementing new and revised standards and requirements. Provides thehighest level of technical expertise to analyze and resolve complexfinancial case consultations. As needed, communicates directly with NMfinancial representatives, clients, outside CPAs, and attorneys oncomplex cases. Provides financial expertise to all levels of leadershipacross the enterprise. Provides leadership and technical expertise tocommittees and projects across the enterprise. Provides technicalexpertise for underwriter training and development. Delivers training oncomplex financial topics. Resolves complex case escalations by providingtechnical and standard-setter expertise. Maintains the highest level ofcurrent accounting, business valuation and estate planning knowledgethrough continuing education and the review of professionalpublications. Qualifications: A bachelor\'s degree in accounting CPAdesignation preferred Minimum of 7 years of experience Superioranalytical and decision-making skills that balance flexibility, criticalthinking and judgement. High degree of personal initiative and theability to work independently and deliver timely results in a fast-pacedproduction environment.
