  Job Summary

  The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies within the College of Education at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a nine-month position at the level of Associate/Full Professor with a specific focus on Quantitative Research Methods. We are specifically seeking an individual at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor who meets the criteria for receiving tenure based on the department’s standards of evidence. The position is also open to individuals at the advanced Assistant Professor (tenure-eligible). The start date of the position will be Fall 2024.

  The faculty member will teach graduate-level courses in quantitative research methods, which includes, but is not limited to introduction to statistics and data analysis, regression analysis, quasi-experimental methods, longitudinal analyses, and psychometric methods.

  The faculty member is expected to maintain an active research program resulting in scholarly publications and actively participate in the application and implementation of extramural funding.

  Candidates will exhibit established quality research publication records to qualify for tenure at UT Arlington (R1/Texas Tier One).

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies seeks faculty committed to research, mentorship, and teaching who will contribute to our doctoral and master’s degree programs. Selected faculty will teach, advise graduate students, and chair and serve on doctoral committees.

  The successful candidate will pursue external funding and maintain active research agendas with a strong record of research publications.

  The successful candidate will engage in service to the department, college, university, and profession and contribute to cultivating collegiality within the department and college.

  Required Qualifications

  An earned doctorate in quantitative research methods or a relevant academic discipline aligned with the College of Education and extensive training and experience in quantitative research methods

  Demonstrated ability to initiate and sustain a defined, active research agenda and evidence of high-impact research and obtaining external funding

  Evidence of effective teaching at the graduate level, experience advising and mentoring doctoral students, and experience chairing dissertation committees

  Eligibility for a tenured appointment

  Preferred Qualifications

  Pedagogical experience with hybrid, blended, and online teaching strategies in higher education

  Evidence of effective engagement and collaboration with a diverse array of partners and stakeholders in educational leadership preparation and service to the University and community

  Knowledge of the complex policy and legislative environment governing Texas educational institutions

  Experience participating in entrepreneurial funding endeavors

  Experience with inquiry/action research

  Commitment to and experience working with diverse student populations
