The Associate QualityControl Chemist at MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI conducts chemicalsuitability tests in accordance with guidelines of our qualitymanagement system (QMS) The tasks to be completed daily include; Performroutine analytical tests and primary review in compliance withstandardized methodology Operate analytical equipment and software suchas titration(s), spectroscopy, chromatography, etc. Document and processanalytical data Perform standard stoichiometry and unit conversionsCompare analytical data against established library(s) and productspecification(s) Maintain complete and accurate records consistent withquality guidelines Safely handle, process, route, and request stocksuitability samples Perform basic analytical problem solving Supportgeneral laboratory functions and routine maintenance Identifyopportunities for quality improvement in compliance with QualityManagement System Communicate with relevant management and departmentsto ensure customer focused excellence Prioritize responsibilities inalignment with established department goals Days/hours: 2nd shift - 2:00PM - 10:30 PM, Monday-Friday Physical Attributes: May wear appropriateprotective gear, such as respirators and chemical protective clothing,for long periods of time while performing daily tasks May involveoccasional lifting and pushing of up to 50 pounds Who You Are: MinimumQualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering orother life science discipline Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years ofexperience in a quality control or laboratory setting Ability to succeedin a team environment Good customer service and communications skills,both verbal and written Basic understanding of analytical tools andequipment Knowledge of safe chemical handling practices Proficiency withcomputing chemical calculations and conversions Ability to adapt,self-motivate, and think critically Organization and time managementskills Database management software skills Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice software such as Word and Excel Basic understanding of DataIntegrity What we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broadrange of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
