Major/Essential Functions:
Provides academic and clinical instruction within the School of Nursing Post Master’s Doctoral Track.
Plans, coordinates, and conducts online, classroom and clinical experiences for doctoral students.
Participates in scholarly and academic activities appropriate to rank.
Reports directly to programmatic Associate Dean/Department Chair.
Maintains academic standards as established by the school and the university.
Teaches students in online and classroom settings, and post master’s doctor of nursing practice students.
Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in the planning and organization of courses to which assigned.
Provides academic advising/counseling to assigned students.
Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of school, program, course, and student activities.
Plans professional development activities for self, such as continuing education offerings, workshops, professional meetings, etc.
Participates in program, school and university committees, and in other activities associated with professional status.
Maintains membership in and participates in professional associations by serving on local/state committees of professional organizations.
Incorporates new knowledge and techniques in onlineclassroom, and laboratory teaching.
Conducts research or practice activities appropriate to rank.
Displays a scholarly orientation to the assumption of the responsibilities of a university faculty member as defined in the Guidelines for Qualification of Faculty Appointment Rank.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 4 years of online teaching experience
Experience in teaching statistics
Experience teaching business and data analytics
Experience as a leader in health care or academia
A developed program of scholarly work including research, practice, service, publications and presentations.
Demonstrated leadership skills related to coordination of teaching activities.
Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and instructional design and implementation.
Demonstrated achievement in scholarly activities.
Awareness of current issues/trends in nursing and higher education.
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
Effective verbal/written communication skills and proficiency in English language.
Commitment to nursing education, research, practice, and teaching.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
Doctorate in nursing or a related field and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from an accredited university.Experience:
Demonstrated effectiveness as a teacher in an accredited nursing program.
Record of peer reviewed publications and/or peer-reviewed creative activities, which have contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise
Record of professional experience in advanced nursing practice including leadership practice. (Must have leadership expertise in practice and/or in teaching leadership in graduate education for this role as a faculty member in the Post Master's Leadership track.)
Appropriate certification in your field of expertise. (Certifications include but are not limited to NEA-BC, Nurse Executive Advanced Certification, CPPS, Certified Professional in Patient Safety.)
