Your Role: The Associate Production Scientist atMilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls, WI, will manufacture or evaluateproducts according to established protocols, provide technical supportto others and perform operations in support of the group and department.Responsibilities include: * Perform operations to meet qualityexpectations throughout the process * Perform routine assays, processesand/or unit operations * Complete the volume of work required toachieve group and departmental goals and to meet deadlines * Contributeto the support functions of the lab (e.g., maintain equipment, preparereagents, restock lab supplies, waste disposal) * Communicate thestatus of operations and bring deviations to the attention of supervisor* Provide complete and accurate records consistent with qualityguidelines * Ensure that all applicable logbooks have been filled outcompletely according to current procedures * Interact with otherdepartments and participate in quality audits as needed * Improveprocesses through application of scientific knowledge, experience, andprinciples while in compliance with change control procedures *Identify opportunities for process improvements under the guidance of aSupervisor or Scientist * Train personnel * Act as a technicalconsultant as needed * Perform and interpret analytical evaluations ofproducts and intermediates * Supply information based on experience andknowledge * Work in both a large-scale process environment and a glasslab environment * 12 hour night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM - 2/2/3schedule (M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat)Physical Attributes: * Work with open chemicals; wear appropriate PPE(including respirator, hard hats, glasses or goggles, chemical resistantsuits, gloves, safety shoes) * Routinely lift up to 50 lbs * Push andpull heavy materials Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor\'sDegree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or other lifescience discipline OR * High School Diploma or GED AND 4+ years of workexperience in a chemical production, laboratory, or chemical engineeringrole Preferred Qualifications: * Strong knowledge of chemistry, math,and general science * Chemical production experience on the glasswarescale * Familiarity with laboratory instruments and productionequipment * Independent chemistry research lab or industrial experience* Process techniques and unit operations experience * Analyticaltechniques and equipment experience * Experience with safe chemicalhandling methods * Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Strong computer skills What we offer: We are curious minds that comefrom a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.We celebrate all dimensions of diversity and believe that it drivesexcellence and innovation, strengthening our ability to lead in scienceand technology.
