About Associate Product Manager, Automatic Tank Gauge Portfolio

  The primary purpose of this position is to provide tactical support for product definition, market understanding, and promotional activities for new and existing products. The output of these efforts will assist in the development of a well-defined product roadmap, new product commercialization strategy, content that supports the new product launch, and attainment of on-going market growth and profit expectations.

  I. Key Responsibilities

  Works with team members to co-develop key deliverables/objectives on an annual basis to support business unit activities relating to the ATG portfolio, such as software, hardware and vapor recovery needs

  Influence regulatory bodies to implement new specifications related to our environmental systems product line

  Work across business units and product categories to ensure seamless integrations and compatibility

  Designs and executes Voice of the Customer (VOC) data gathering and hypothesis testing to create new product specifications and relevant in-depth customer understanding.

  Works with the digital marketing team to conduct market visibility research and develop content for marketing campaigns that clearly depict the value delivered by our products.

  Co-develops user profiles, use cases & assessments to articulate and optimize the user experience.

  Conducts research to define targeted customer segments and determines the key values that drive buying behavior

  Participates in value selling exercises that provide demonstrable monetized value for our sales team.

  Builds pricing strategies based on customer’s perceived value.

  Helps manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to implementation to end-of-life.

  Performs market modeling to determine estimated market opportunity.

  Conducts competitive research and analysis. Develops price and/or performance matrices for selected products.

  Identifies, analyzes and prioritizes opportunities for growth. Remains sensitive to the balance between feature set and time-to-market. Manages feature backlog.

  Interacts with the global regions and sales channel to understand and develop the appropriate sales tools and promotions.

  Partners with product development and marketing teams to ensure the customer needs/values are incorporated into product design, branding and marketing approaches

  Other duties as assigned by Manager.

  I. Background and Skill

  Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in technical or business field or equivalent work experience required. B.S. preferred.

  2+ years of marketing support, customer service or technical support experience required.

  Able to empathize with customers, translating needs into products.

  Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  Effective personal and project team time management required.

  Basic project management competencies preferred
