Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our team in Woodridge, Illinois.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77,249 - $113,299 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for partnering with Product Manager to develop a product portfolio strategy and product line roadmap. Identify market needs and new opportunities via- Voice of Customer – both end users and channel partners, Market research, Understanding and forecasting new technology trends/impact, Collaboration with sales, Participation in industry events and Define product requirements in the form detailed engineering specifications
In This Function You Will
Work closely with Engineering to drive New Product Introductions (NPI)
Work closely with Supply Chain to provide forecast on NPIs and existing products, optimize inventory, identify/execute cost reductions, and vet new suppliers
Act as a liaison with engineering, supply chain and sales on critical issues related to their product line
Develop and support marketing plans and new product launches via the development of clear marketing messaging, supporting sales tools, and presentations
Provide technical support on products to both internal and external customers
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree from an accredited educational institution
Minimum 3 years experience/internship in Product Management, Engineering, Marketing or Sales
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Woodridge, IL. will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of sales, reselling, or marketing professional experience
Commercial and distribution channel management knowledge
3 years of sales and reselling experience
Strong technical background in Data Center Power Solutions
Experience working with distributors, resellers, and end user focusing on the mission critical, information technology and power
Skills:
Ability to travel up to 10%
Ability to demonstrate experience in competitive benchmarking of features and price, new product requirement definition, business plan development, value proposition development, new product launch, forecasting, developing sales collateral, sales training
Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills with expertise in preparing and delivering dynamic presentations for customer and internal meetings
Ability to demonstrate strong data mining and analysis skills
Ability to multitask, complete projects with tight deadlines and proven product management experience.
Ability to demonstrate good balance of technical and commercial acumen
Ability to work cross functionally, in virtual teams (across different locations), and cross-cultural environments
Ability to learn, articulate, and support complex products and technologies
