Associate Product Manager
Overview of the Role
As the Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for the tactical commercial execution of assigned products that include product launches, tradeshow execution, sales support and training, and business analytics.
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Director of Marketing while working closely with Marketing, Business Development and Sales to support the assigned products
Major Accountabilities:
Learn, help develop and execute the business and marketing plans for assigned product lines in the US market.
Drive product marketing plans by assisting with the development of brand positioning, creative briefs, business objectives, strategies, tactics, profit and loss projections and short and long-term growth strategies.
Monitors and develops analysis on forecasting, pricing strategies, literature/video/sales support materials, labeling revisions, clinical studies, manufacturing and customer service/operations support for existing product line(s).
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors competition, market share and market trends; keeps others informed by maintaining and distributing competitive comparisons and evaluations.
Develops product-oriented positioning documents, product profiles, competitive analysis, presentations, demos, white papers, product updates and content for corporate marketing vehicles such as web sites, brochures, and seminars.
Maintains frequent and regular contact with strategic industry experts and trade organizations, field visits with key surgeons and sales consultants, participation in key meetings and conferences to ensure company and products are properly perceived relative to the competition.
Collaborates with sales team to ensure a high quality of sales support in terms of new product/market introductions, sales training programs, key surgeon/key account field visits and regular communication, both responsive as well as proactive.
Establishes and maintains key close professional relationships with internal and external constituents to stay abreast of new market opportunities.
Monitors forecasts as necessary and works collaboratively with other departments to ensure product availability throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Maintains up-to-date product and industry knowledge by regular review of the literature, co-traveling with field sales personnel, attending surgeries, etc.
Supports the Company's medical education initiatives by assisting in the preparation and running of surgeon/customer training courses.
Works collaboratively with outside vendor partners in creating impactful creative messaging and campaigns. Leads process and manages creative tactical budgets.
Participates in strategic sales and marketing planning activities for assigned products to identify key targets, surgeons, and hospitals by specific product.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is desired.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Marketing role or marketing-related experience, Medical Device industry preferred.
