For every unique engagement, we carefully customize our approach to ensure an efficient and well-planned deployment of resources and technology.

  *This role will be located in Orange County (CA) and will require the ability to travel to our Irvine, CA office.

  Role Overview

  As an Associate, you will be operating in a cross-over role working closely with the eDiscovery project team and our digital forensics team. The role will become familiar with the clients' big-picture objectives and challenges and execute on critical project deliverables to ensure these objectives are met on time and with the highest quality.  With this knowledge you will be responsible for designing and executing efficient, innovative analytical workflow solutions to address their issues. 

  Responsibilities:

  W ill include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  Coordinating with client contacts to provide project deliverables, progress, timelines and advise on strategy, workflow and best practices.

  Designing and implementing intelligent workflow solutions to quickly identify the key facts, details, and merits of the case, and effectively reduce data volumes.

  Analyzing and interpreting client requirements and applying them to complex unstructured datasets.

  Providing project support to team leads and clients:

  Responding to client requests and setting clear expectations to internal and external stakeholders

  Conducting quality control checks to ensure accuracy of tasks/deliverables related to searches, review workflow, productions, processing and exports.

  Work with team leads to learn and take ownership of project tasks.

  Performing the day-to-day client engagement activities, including interaction with client personnel, internal Bright Labs team members, and other stakeholders involved in the engagement.

  Contributing to the overall success of the firm by participating in pitches, developing internal training, and marketing the firm externally to prospective clients

  Qualifications:

  Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Preferred degree in law, engineering, computer science, finance, accounting, economics, information technology, forensics, data analytics, or work experience in a related field

  0-2 years of prior experience as a consultant overseeing computer forensics and electronic discovery

  Team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  Ability to interact confidently with senior management and lawyers/partners

  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, or New York, Bright Labs, an Ankura Company, is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said markets and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At Bright Labs, an Ankura Company, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $50,000 to $120,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
