　　WHAT YOU\'LL BRING

　　Bachelor\'s degree and 7 years related experience. Demonstratedexperience in cultivating and ultimately stewarding the development of apipeline of new donors. Experience in fundraising strategy developmentfocusing on identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardshipof major and principal gift level donors. Experience in building donorspecific strategies focused on High-Net-Worth Individuals and privatefoundations. Experience building and maintaining long-term relationshipswith constituents such as major / principal gift level donors,foundations and corporations. Experience in asking for and closing sevenfigure gifts. Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects anddonors. Experience working with fundraising principles and practices.Experience, coursework, or other training in current and evolving trendsin charitable giving, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns,major / principal gifts and planned giving. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSFluency in Spanish. Ability to travel in the Caribbean and the UnitedStates when necessary. Understanding of the philanthropic culture andtrends within the Caribbean and the United States and connections withinthe philanthropic community. Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experienceand competency. Ability to design and implement fundraising strategies,including cultivation, solicitation, and recognition strategies. Abilityto determin an individual\'s interests, capacity, and potential forhelping TNC meet its goals, and act appropriately to tie those interestswith TNC\'s work. Ability to educate and inform prospective and existingdonors about appropriate giving vehicles. Ability to work proactivelyand independently while seamlessly communicating with a team ofprofessions across multiple time zones. Advanced knowledge of complexcharitable gift planning. Communications experience, verbally and inwriting for a variety of audiences, including preparing and presentingproject proposals. Demonstrated experience using listening, diplomacy,and tact to build strong relationships and motivate donors andvolunteers. Excellent attention to detail. Proven ability to negotiatecomplex, high profile or sensitive agreements.
