About Associate Director, Digital Manufacturing Capital Project Management (Hybrid NJ or PA)

  Job Description

  The Associate Director (Digital Manufacturing Capital Project Management) will be a technical subject matter expert, responsible for leading and delivering digital scope (inclusive of automation and IT) for multiple U.S. projects in the portfolio of capital projects managed by Global Engineering Solutions (GES), for Human Health or Research and Development facilities. The incumbent will partner with stakeholders in the business, GES, Digital Manufacturing Product Teams, and Quality to ensure that projects are correctly delivered with appropriate technology and qualification standards.

  The Associate Director (Digital Manufacturing Capital Project Management) is responsible for activities that may include the following:

  Partner with local business leadership and project teams to scope for digital aspects of capital projects

  Lead teams (external contractors and/or full-time employees) to deliver digital aspects of capital projects, including control system design and associated documentation sets

  Understand and educate local project teams on automation standards as they relate to technology selection, system configuration, validation, hardware, and software environments

  Closely liaise with GES engineers, Engineering Contractors, Quality groups, and skid suppliers

  Develop and adhere to project schedules and budgets

  Build teams as necessary to deliver digital aspects of capital projects

  Report project statuses and risks vertically within the project and above the project

  Engage with stakeholders at all levels of projects, including active participation in project team meetings

  Ensure that our company's engineering standards and guides are applied on projects

  Education Minimum Requirement

  BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical degreeRequired Experience and Skills

  15 or more years of experience in project/automation support (including at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry)

  Technical expertise on DCS and PLC software and hardware (specifically Emerson DeltaV- and Allen Bradley- and/or Siemens-based systems)

  Familiarity with system networking and IT infrastructure

  Ability to create and maintain detailed budgets and cost reports

  Ability to create and maintain detailed project schedules, including resourcing plans

  Strong vendor management skills

  Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  Excellent written and oral communication skills

  Ability to handle multiple projects and/or workflows simultaneously

  Preferred Experience and Skills

  Emerson DeltaV software and hardware configuration

  PLC and HMI (specifically Allen Bradley-and/or Siemens-based systems) software and hardware configuration

  MES experience (specifically with Werum PAS-X)

  Excellent understanding of cGMPs, System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, and agile project strategies

  Proven meeting facilitation, project management, and change management skills

  Strong presentation skills

  U.S. Hybrid Work Model

  Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Please note, this Hybrid work model guidance also does not apply to roles that have been designated as “remote”.

  Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

  Expected salary range:

  $135,500.00 - $213,400.00
