The Associate Director is the Value Stream Leader for the 787 Protective Systems. They lead an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and are accountable for executing all commitments to Boeing, including production deliveries, quality, fleet reliability and issue resolution, commercial terms and conditions, aftermarket support and total cost of ownership.The Protective Systems encompass a wide range of products including rotating turbomachinery components, heat exchangers, actively controlled valves, sensors and other highly engineered components. The scope also includes primary responsibility for Software packages across the 787 program.This role will also act as the primary interface for the 787 program with all Collins' European entities, including HS Marston, Actuation Systems, and Nord Micro.With over 1,000 aircraft in active service across 60+ airlines, the Associate Director works closely with both Boeing and the airlines to be the voice of the customer and drive customer satisfaction.The Associate Director, Value Stream Leader, 787 Protective Systems is Hybrid to Windsor Locks, CT.This position is eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the customer relationship and ensure customer satisfactionResolve existing commercial and contractual misalignments with Boeing and our airline customersLead a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), providing accountability for the value stream's deliverables including; hardware on-time delivery & quality, Company Funded Engineering budget & schedule adherence, along with inventory, and overdue reductionPrimary interface with Collins businesses in the UK and GermanyCollaborate with the 787 Business Manager to identify margin expansion opportunities and execute them, in support of overall program targetsIdentify and develop mitigation plans risks to the value stream, including technical, commercial/contractual and industrialIdentify opportunities to the program plan and develop associated capture plans.Communicate the program's status, risks and opportunities at cadence reviews, and upon request, at all leadership levels of the business.Qualifications/ Experience Needed:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experienceU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations requiredhttps://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62Preferred Qualifications:
