　　What youll do

　　SAP BTP ABAP Environment, aka Steampunk, is the SAP Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering for ABAP Cloud development that enables developers to leverage their traditional on-premises ABAP know-how to develop and run ABAP Cloud applications in SAP Business Technology Platform, either as an extension to SAP software or as standalone applications. Steampunk is built on and leverages the latest cloud technologies like Kubernetes.

　　Were looking for motivated and talented job starters who want to join us on the exciting journey of advancing SAPs ABAP PaaS solution.

　　You will become part of the Steampunk Management Tools Team and, as such, implement vital parts for the automated operations of our Steampunk platform. We are tightly connected with the infrastructure teams providing the technical foundation and receive timely feedback from our operations colleagues.

　　It will not just be about coding but a joint team task to provide, continuously improve, and operate the brain behind the scenes, which equips our customers with a solid, cloud-ready, and future-proof ABAP Platform.

　　During your onboarding and learning phase, an experienced colleague from your team will act as your buddy, mentoring you in finding what you need to know at SAP and within the teams daily work.

　　What you bring

　　Sound technical background with a university degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

　　Good programming skills in an established, object-oriented programming language (ABAP is preferred)

　　Professional work experience in a development role is a strong plus.

　　Knowledge/interest in:

　　Cloud programming and cloud-based infrastructures (e.g., IaaS vs. PaaS vs. SaaS, K8s)

　　Definition of concepts, APIs, and implementation of procedures for operating a Cloud Landscape of ABAP Systems

　　Agile software development processes driven by Scrum methods

　　You speak fluent German and English

　　Finally, you should have a result-driven working habit, be a passionate team player, and be able to focus on quality and customer success. Coding is fun for you.

　　As part of the ABAP Platform organization, the Steampunk Management Tools Team provides the necessary infrastructure for operating the SAP BTP ABAP Environment, and our partners solutions on top.

　　Stakes are mainly held by ABAP Platform Development and Steampunk Operations teams. Our primary responsibility is defining, validating, and delivering automated processes required for smooth cloud operations.
