  Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.

  The Associate Actuary completes the most diverse and complicated projects and performs highly complex actuarial studies.

  How You Will Make an Impact:

  Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  Creation, review, summarization and presentation of monthly Medicare risk adjustment metrics

  Review, valuation and consultation on Medicare risk adjustment coding accuracy and member quality of life improvement initiatives

  Monthly review and presentation of product level financial results

  Ad hoc reporting and requests for financials

  Speaking and presenting findings to a wider group of business and finance associates

  Review of Medicare bid risk score and coding assumptions

  Some work on Medicare AEP competitive outlooks

  Minimum Requirements:

  Requires a BA/BS degree and minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  ASA required from the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

  Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  2+ years of Medicare risk adjustment experience

  3+ years of Medicare Advantage experience

  Mastery of Excel, proficiency in Power Point

  Proficiency in SAS and Microsoft SQL Server

  Good written and verbal communication skills

  Teradata SQL and Python a plus

  For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $97,812 to $185,328
