　　The Assistant/Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance willteach core courses in the Health and Human Performance major as well ascourses in the area of Health and Fitness: foundations of health andfitness, health and fitness administration, prevention and care ofinjuries, movement science, and physical activity assessment. Otherduties will include advising undergraduate students and providingservice to the department and the college.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Support the mission, vision, and values of Bethel College

　　Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to changingwork processes.

　　Knowledge of current developments in the Health and Human Performancediscipline and pedagogy

　　The ability to utilize effective teaching methods and strategies

　　Satisfy the duties of a Campus Security Authority (CSA) relating toJeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus CrimeStatistics Act (Clery Act) and satisfy the duties of an Official withAuthority (OWA) and Mandated Reporter relating to Title IX and theBethel College Equal Opportunity, Harassment, & Non-DiscriminationPolicy and Procedures

　　Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfullycomplete the responsibilities of the position

　　Comply with Bethel College policies and procedures

　　Necessary Skills:

　　Ability to communicate with students

　　Ability to mentor and equip students to realize academic, personal, andcareer goals

　　Ability to assist students in fulfilling all requirements for theirdegrees or certification of outside agencies.
