Join us at Ames CSD, where your talents are recognized, and you have the opportunity to grow in a supportive and dynamic community.The Ames High School coaching staff is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach for the 2024-25 school year.Work Schedule: During the season, the work schedule will be 3-4 hours daily M-F. Various nights and weekends are also required for matches. Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

　　Supports Head Coach while instructing athletes about the fundamentals of volleyball.

　　Attends all practices and has the ability to coach at an individual, small group and team level.

　　Models sports-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards athletes, officials, and spectators.

　　Communicates effectively with coaching staff, student-athletes, parents, and school administration.

　　Participates in special events to include banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.

　　Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.

　　Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all athletes and families.

　　Abides by strict confidentiality at all times.

　　Attends work on a consistent and punctual basis.

　　Assists with other duties as assigned.

　　Qualifications:

　　A current Iowa Department of Education coaching authorization.

　　Experience coaching volleyball at the high school level preferred.
