To assist in implementing a comprehensive education program at the Site level that is developmentally appropriate and meets the individual needs of the childrenAdhere to Woodland Child Development Center (WCDC) performance standards, policies and procedures and STATE MANDATES regarding the reporting of child abuse and neglect plus workshop hours.[General Accountabilities]{century="" schoolbook=""}
The Substitute Teacher/Teacher Assistant is responsible for the care and education of a group of children as a part of a teaching team. This Substitute Teacher/Teacher Assistant is responsible in assisting implanting and implementing the curriculum in accordance with WCDC Performance Standards, Indiana Academic Foundations, as well as utilizing the Developmentally Appropriate Effective Practices as defined by the National Association of Young Children (NAEYC) and preparedness of school readiness. This position requires active participation with the children, families, and other; members of the teaching team, to assess and address the needs of individual children. This position will work closely with the Lead Teacher/Master Teacher/Program Coordinator and Assistant Director for child outcomes. The Substitute Teacher/Teacher Assistant is expected to present a positive and professional image of WCDC and actively and effectively participate on committee and work teams as requested.[Job Qualifications]{century="" schoolbook=""}
Minimum Education: CDA, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development or higher is requiredMinimum Experience: 3 years of classroom experience with preschoolers in a licensed childcare center-based program or Head Start program, or public schools required.
