　　Location: Bangor, Maine

　　Penquis Child Development will pay for newly hired staff to obtain appropriate credentials or continued educational opportunities. This position assists with the daily needs of children and the activities that provide services to children and families. This position requires a Preschool CDA or associate degree in early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have paid experience working with young children (practicum experience may be considered), as well as training and experience with social services outreach for families and children. Penquis Child Development can support newly hired staff in a professional development plan to acquire the appropriate credentials.

　　The starting rate of pay for the Assistant Teacher position is $17.07/hour and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.

　　Eligible upon hire, new employees in our Early Childhood programs who work 24-40 hours per week, will receive a monthly stipend which is based on your lattice through MRTQ (Maine Roads to Quality).

　　Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
