As an Unclaimed Property Associate at Baker Tilly (BT), you willassist both Fortune 500 and middle market clients across industries withtheir state unclaimed property reporting requirements and relatedconsulting needs (e.g., audit defense, voluntary disclosures, policiesand procedures, etc.). Unclaimed Property Associates will learn, throughour on-the-job training, to apply their accounting, technology, writtenand oral communication skills to become a Value Architect deliveringadvisory and compliance services to clients. Be a trusted member of a national practice providing variousadvisory services, including:Organization and management of client data and documents.Detailed reviews of client records (e.g., accounting documents,procedures, etc.) to identify areas of potential unclaimedproperty noncompliance.Interviews of client accounting and operational personnel.Identification of client\'s potential unclaimed propertyexposure:Development of strategic plans to limit client\'s potentialexposure,Presentation of suggestions to clients to reduce potentialexposure,Creation of models to calculate potential exposure.Assistance with the management of clients\' state unclaimedproperty audits and voluntary disclosure agreements.Support for drafting technical written memorandums.Interaction with clients, outside legal counsel, a d stateunclaimed property representatives.Preparation and filing of annual unclaimed property reports tomultiple jurisdictions.Qualifications
Successful candidates willhave:
Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in accounting or law, or a relateddegree in busines, with sufficient course work and credits to sitfor the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state you are being consideredOutstanding academic performance required, with a preferred GPA of3.0 or aboveRelevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with aprofessional organizationThe abilityto work effectively in a team environment with all levelsof client personnelDemonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication,interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, andproblem solvingOrganizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptabilityProficiencywith Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)There is currently no immigration sponsorship available for thisposition
