　　SUMMARY:

　　Directly responsible for assisting the Processing Department Supervisor with overseeing the activities of production team members. Provides input to the supervisor on employee counseling and performance evaluation. Assistant Supervisors are responsible for assisting the supervisor with the day-to-day production process. Ensures that the production process is running efficiently, and that staff are meeting their production goals. To assume the duties of the department supervisor during their absence

　　ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

　　Responsible for assisting the department supervisor with supervising all operational & safety related functions pertaining to company equipment & machinery such as Masserators, Grinders, Blenders, Chippers/Choppers, V-Mag Stuffers, Frank-O-Matic, Buggy Dumpers, Pallet Jacks, High Lifts, & other production related machinery.Ability to use basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Understand all aspects of company recipes. Must be capable of lifting 80 lb. bags of recipe spices. Must be capable of tracking product yields, pump percentages, & formulating meat blocks.Must have ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group situations to management and other team members of the organization.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with problems.Responsible for enforcing Company rules, regulations, & safety policies.Must be able to work/train employees in a fast paced refrigerated environment.Operate machinery & plan staff scheduling/rotation/tasks.Report plant machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians.Engage and motivate production team.Report to management staff on productivity, quality and attendance.Responsible for overseeing all production related activities pertaining to the Product Traceability Computer System.Identify and organize training and cross training needs.Must understand & enforce health, safety, and basic hygiene rules. Ensure that production employees are properly trained & authorized to use machinery cleaning chemicals, including mandatory PPE.Benefits after 60-days:
