Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach
Position Announcement
This position reports to the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Thisposition is responsible for the Strength and Conditioning for the men\'sbasketball team along with other teams as assigned, within theguidelines of the University, Conference and NCAA rules.
The expectations of the Assistant Strengthand Conditioning Coach:
Supports the Mission and Core Values of the department
Maintains Student-Athlete records; complies with confidentiality andprivacy guidelines of FERPA and HIPAA
Mentor, supervise and train graduate assistants and interns in strengthand conditioning
Responsible for full compliance with University, Department and NCAAregulations
Carries out effective and proven methods of injury prevention andrehabilitation
Develops student-athletes through safe, proven and effective teaching,training and coaching
Effectively communicates with all parties and follows protocol relativeto injuries and illness
Collaborate with Athletic and University support units to ensureStudent-Athlete health, safety and well-being
Responsible for the efficient use of all Department resources
Understand that the logo is always on as they model professionalbehavior
Committed to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Qualifications: Bachelors degree required/Masters preferred; Minimum1 year experience beyond undergrad preferably working with basketball;Division 1 experience is preferred; Must have or be eligible forcertification through CSCS and/or SCCC. CPR certification required.Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience promoting inclusiveexcellence is required.
