The Forklift Operator is responsible foroperating a forklift for picking orders, moving product, loading andunloading trucks, and completing shipping and receiving paperwork. TheForklift Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation ofthe forklift to avoid damage to other trucks, personnel, equipment,product, and eliminate unnecessary wear and tear to the forklift. Keep lines fed bylocating and delivering stock to appropriate machines safely and ontime, maintaining inventory, staging product, and completing thenecessary paperwork. Create location storage stickers, move finishedgoods to appropriate location for storage, and bring labels to lines.Unload and inspect inbound inventory andmaterials, receive product intoSAP, use SAP to determine appropriate location for storage. Accuratelyselect, prepare, and load product for outbound shipment per customerspecifications, create/complete the necessary paperwork. Checksmaterials against vendor invoices, bill of lading, customer orders andsimilar papers. Must be able to use RF scanning equipment, paperwork andcomputer to ensure accuracy of inventory & location of stock in storagearea. Perform cycle counts when needed. Must be qualified and licensedto properly operate a forklift, hoist, motorized conveyor and othermaterial handling equipment in a safe manner. Utilize SAP daily tolocate inventory, create location stickers, maintain accurate inventoryand complete shipping & receiving paperwork.
