Description:

　　Our client is looking for a preconstruction engineer or assistant project manager to assist with the project management team with preconstruction, estimating and project purchasing activities. Write scopes of work via evaluating contracting needs for purchasing and subcontracting functions that can be achieved from existing supplier networks while at the same time promoting greater networks. The right candidate will have the ability to perform assignments with polite persistence and a sense of urgency. Develop detailed scopes of work from conceptual information that requires initiative based investigation from limited sources of information. Great organization skill with computer skills.

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　BA/BS degree in engineering or construction management

　　3 plus years in related industry

　　On-site experience in mechanical construction is a plus

　　Previous experience working for a mechanical contractor including estimating, bidding, procurement of materials and subcontractors is beneficial

　　Experience with software estimating programs is also beneficial

　　Pre and post construction award

　　Working with vendors, subs, collecting scopes of work

　　Reviewing submittals
