　　the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Special Education. 

　　The U.S. News and World Report annual ranking of graduate programs consistently rates the MSU Rehabilitation Counseling programs (doctoral and master's levels) as one of the top programs in the nation. We are seeking colleagues to be part of our emerging Clinical Mental Health Counseling program who are committed to research, teaching, and practice that promote the enhanced mental health and quality of life of individuals with mental, emotional and/or substance abuse disorders. We are interested in colleagues who share our vision for stewardship of the mental health counseling profession. 　　Minimum RequirementsApplicants should have an earned doctoral degree in counselor education, counseling, or a closely related discipline from an accredited program, or provide evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed prior to the start of the appointment. Applicants should also have an earned master's degree in counseling, psychology, behavioral health, or a closely related discipline.

　　Desired Qualifications(1) possession of research, teaching, and/or clinical skills and/or prior experience with diverse disability populations, including individuals with mental, emotional and/or substance abuse disorders, in the areas of assessment, intervention, consultation; (2) have relevant professional counseling credentials; (3) ability in promoting inclusive and culturally responsive research, teaching, and clinical practices; (4) developing and maintaining an active positive psychology research program that is supported by external funding; and (5) providing quality mentoring and supervision at the graduate level.
