Job Summary:

　　The Department of Sociology at Radford University, a regional comprehensive university with a diverse student body and a growing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, seeks applications for a tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2024. We are seeking candidates who specialize in Quantitative Research Methods and Medical Sociology, Social Determinants of Health, or Public Health. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach Introduction to Social Research Methods, Survey Research Methods, Medical Sociology, and Social Determinants of Health.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　PhD in Sociology or closely related field; demonstrated record of excellence in teaching; a record of scholarship or demonstrated potential for developing a productive program of scholarship; an ability to effectively mentor undergraduate students; evidence of applied sociological products or contributions; and the experience or ability to teach online courses. ABD candidates will be considered with confirmation of a graduation date.

Specializations that complement existing expertise in the department, with particular emphasis on the use of Mixed Methods in research.
