Responsibilities include: teaching astronomy, introductory physics courses with labs, upper-level physics courses (some with experimental components) as well as physics and related courses for non-science majors; develop a research program sustainable at a small liberal arts school (preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the capacity to involve undergraduate students); advising undergraduates; and sharing in the governance and advancement of the physics program, the division, and the campus. Qualifications Candidates must hold or expect to receive a Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or a closely related field by August 12, 2024. Experience teaching undergraduate physics courses is required. (Graduate TA experience is acceptable.)
