The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Lipids is seeking podiatrists committed to academic medicine. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualificationsand experience.
The selected candidate will serve as a medical and surgical podiatrist for the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Lipids within the Department of Medicine with an active medical podiatry outpatient practice focused on the Diabetes Center at Grady Memorial Hospital. The selected candidate will also offer surgical podiatry services at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities: The faculty member is expected to serve the University in areas of teaching, research, and clinical service appropriate to their professional training and capabilities and their career goals. Primary clinical responsibilities would be participation in all the clinical activities of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Lipids at Emory, particularly its clinical activities at Grady Memorial Hospital. The faculty member would be expected to deliver excellent care to patients while growing and expanding access for podiatric patients at the Grady Diabetes Center.
The faculty member would be expected to participate in business hours inpatient consult coverage. Participation in night and weekend call coverage is not currently required but may change as part of programmatic development within the Division.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have a terminal degree in podiatric medicine (DPM) and successfully completed podiatry residency. We are interested in candidates with combined interests in medical and surgical podiatry. Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Podiatry will be required prior to commencement of employment.
