The University of Chicago Department of Statistics invites applicationsfor a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Computational andApplied Mathematics (CAM) at the rank of Assistant Professor. Thesuccessful applicant will be a member of the interdisciplinary Committeeon Computational and Applied Mathematics (CCAM) and join otherStatistics faculty who support the graduate programs in CAM at theUniversity of Chicago. The University of Chicago has the higheststandards for scholarship and faculty quality, is dedicated tofundamental research, and has an inherently interdisciplinary structurethat is very supportive of newly emerging research opportunities, andappointments may be made jointly with another department in theUniversity.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Completion of all requirements for the PhD in applied mathematics,mathematics, statistics, or related field to computation and appliedmathematics by the time of hire.Preferred qualifications:
At least one year of university-level teaching experience, such as,but not limited to, a TA or instructor of record, and at least twoyears as a postdoctoral researcher.Application Instructions
