About the Assistant Operations Manager Position
The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the dailyoperations of the transportation company. They will work with the Avon,Breckenridge and Denver Operations Managers, Assistant OperationsManagers, and the CEO to adapt existing Peak 1 Express operations systems tomaintain and develop the Peak 1 Express brand and continue the tradition ofexceptional guest service that brand is built on. Maintain a professionalworking relationship with all employees and customers.
JOB DUTIES- Hire and train a staff of shuttle drivers, transfer drivers and dispatchers- Enforce Peak 1 Express policies and COVID safety regulations- Maintain a complete understanding of and compliance with all regulationsset forth by any governing agency (including but not limited to FMCSA,PUC, DOT, DIA, county governments)- Facilitate communication between staff and management- Provide verbal and written warnings to staff as well as hand outsuspensions when necessary- Develop long term strategies for increasing efficiency within Peak 1Express- Be able to fill in sales, dispatch and driving roles with reasonableefficiency and efficacy- Address upset guests and guest service issues with the goal of turning eachinteraction into a happy return customer- Coordinate and manage maintenance program for vehicles with senioroperations staff, staff mechanics and outside providers- Develop emergency protocols for all possible scenarios involving vehicleproblems, guest issues, weather extremes, road closures, etc.- Maintain a clean driving record - failure to do so could result inimmediate termination- Become proficient with all software and monitoring systems
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS- Prior management experience required- Driving and dispatch experience preferred- Ability to communicate effectively across departments- Outstanding customer service skills- Ability to interact in a friendly and comfortable manner with potentialvendors, guests, and employees via phone and in person- Extremely detailed oriented- Highly computer literate- Team oriented- Must be available for weekends and holidays- Must be able to pass a criminal background check- Instill confidence and motivate drivers and dispatchers- Clean driving record
