GENERAL SUMMARY
Assist in the development, day to day maintenance, and accurate revisions of multi-channel media plans for Lexus. This requires strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail/accuracy due to depth and breadth of client’s media commitments. The person in this role must effectively communicate the status of projects to Media Planner (MP)/ Media Supervisor (MS).
Day to Day:
Assist with annual planning of Upfront Broadcast Recommendation (Network/Cable/Sports, Spot TV, Competitive Landscape) and multi-channel (Digital, OOH, Social, etc.) National Brand campaigns.
Send RFPs and manage communication with media publishers. Strategically propose partners for RFP consideration, critically review proposals, and hone negotiation skills to develop most cost efficient and impactful plan.
Generate ideas to support an agency and client objectives.
Familiarize with Media planning tools and platforms (e.g., Prisma, MediaTools, Comscore, eMarketer, MRI, NMI, Flashtalking). Read reports to generate strategic POV to guide planning and media RFP process.
Gather research for analysis of the Media and Sports landscape, competitive spending, PNVR, program ratings, VPVH, syndicated research, RL Polk, Zenith Zoom tools, BDI/CDI, daypart mix, R/Fs, etc.
Implement approved broadcast and sports allocations prior to flight date.
Handle implementation and stewardship of Media Campaigns, working closely with internal Ad Operations team and media vendors. Assist with trafficking process (e.g., update allocations sheet, request 1P and 3P tags, pull reports to QA tags) to meet launch timelines.
Confirm accurate accounting of approved budgets by daypart/package through coordination with Zenith buyers.
Manage and clear invoices in OX and Prisma platforms and reconcile budget for monthly issue of Ad Plan. Compare estimates to approve budget line items and bring any inconsistencies to the attention of the Planner/Supervisor.
Issue monthly flowchart for Monthly Media Highlights recap.
QA media planning sheets, input and send Prisma and OX IOs, and update IOs accordingly based on revisions.
Issue Broadcast and Outdoor media authorization to client. Obtain signed authorization prior to securing media.
Field questions during vendor calls, lead and generate questions during vendor and internal status calls, and present campaign slides during internal strategy meetings.
Manage time efficiently and work with team to create plan to reach deadlines.
Skills and Abilities: Must have strong organizational skills and possess an aptitude for accuracy and details. Computer literacy is mandatory (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Able to multi-task projects and prioritize urgent projects to meet deadlines (internal and client deadlines). Requires strong communication skills to work effectively with MP and department counterparts. Must be a self-starter, possess a positive attitude, and contribute toward building a cohesive team.
