We’re looking for an amazing transportation professional to fill this role, which is based in our Anchorage office. You’ll be responsible for the supervision, performance management, salary administration, discipline, and training of directly assigned personnel.

Responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, and hires employees including supervisors, drivers, and driver trainers.
Supports the CDL training program including classroom presentation, administrative paperwork, etc.
Prepares schedules, monitors operations, processes reports.
Supervises the Transportation Services team and the unit’s activities.
Applies knowledge of transportation regulations and laws, Company product, policies, and procedures.
Maintain vendor relations with the local community and the communities we travel through. Prepares and distributes accurate and timely reports of passenger counts.
Analyzes, prepares, and distributes reports concerning safety, weather, traffic, and construction.
Responsible for the supervision, performance management, salary administration, discipline, and training of directly assigned personnel.
Requirements:
This job normally requires an associates degree or equivalent job experience inlogistics or transportation or a related field.
Experience supervising employees in a transportation services, customer service, logistical or business environment.
Strong customer service skills, leadership and general training skills.
Proficiency in the use of computer business application, with working knowledge of computerized reservations systems.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, to maintain an attention to detail, while working in a group or team environment.
Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees, management, and customers.
This job normally requires three years of progressively responsible positions in transportation services operations.
Commercial Driver's License certification with passenger and airbrake endorsements is required. (The opportunity to secure the license through the Company paid training program is available.)
Class B CDL with Airbrake preferred, but can be obtained through company training
Current, valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record is required.
Abilities, Knowledge and Skills:
Collaborate and assist with division wide training
Potential to drive guests to/from tours
Attend, participate and report on industry meetings and committees.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Requires regular movement throughout PCL and HAL facilities.
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
Work beyond normal business hours or on weekends may be required occasionally to support business needs, projects or operations
