SUMMARY:
The Application Engineer is working with the Sales and Engineering Team to provide quotations to any request of solutions from customers. He/She builds a technical and commercial proposal.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive enquiry/ RFQ from Sales and/ or Service
Ensure timely and accurate quote is provided to the customer to the customer by
Conducting technical discussion with Customer to understand the requirements.
Based on our scope of supply, defining if the Solutions Center is capable of answering the RFQ/enquiry (Conduct feasibility study if required) and align with Project Manager Solutions to accept/decline to offer.
Visiting customer application to refine RFQ, if necessary
Defining a concept with Engineering Support (if necessary) based on previous solutions database, experience and knowledge
Estimating total cost of solutions
Getting external quotations for part or full solution, where necessary
Maintain the Solutions Quote data
Ensure that the customer requirements are clearly understood while handover.
Understand the reason for lost orders and work on improving hit rate.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum:
5 to 10 years’ experience in design of ergonomic handling systems and / or assembly systems
Bachelor or preferably Master in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering
Good level of English, spoken and written
MS Office usage
Additional capabilities:
Hands on Experience in CAD software Creo
Knowledge of Product Design preferable
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
Ability to work in a project oriented team, under lead-time pressure
Customer oriented engineer
Good understanding and synthetises of customer issues
Communication skills
