Description

We are in search of a meticulous Assistant Controller to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The individual will be instrumental in ensuring effective and efficient operations, contributing to the leadership and business office team. This role involves managing financial and accounting processes, overseeing internal control systems, and leading teams in Accounts Payable, General Accounting, and Payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity of financial records, ensuring transactions align with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Oversee payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees

• Manage accounts payable process, ensuring prompt and accurate payments to vendors

• Research and resolve accounting issues in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Review agreements to ensure appropriate accounting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and related footnotes

• Coordinate the annual external audit of the financial statements and other required financial compliance reports

• Support in the development and maintenance of accurate, complete, timely financial statements and other financial information

• Review monthly journal entries prepared by the accounting team

• Review month-end account reconciliations prepared by the accounting team

• Maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls

• Assist in special projects as requested and communicate the status of projects.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions

• Ability to work with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Expertise in Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Auditing

• Understanding of Budget Processes

• CPA certification required
