JOB REQUIREMENTS: General Description The Office of the City Attorney isseeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant CityAttorney. This position will be part of a two-attorney team designatedto handle economic development, real estate and affordable housingtransactions and loans; tax incremental financing negotiations andagreements; public housing and redevelopment matters; communitydevelopment projects and grants; state and federal funding sources andprograms; and municipal bond issuance. This is an advanced levelposition requiring responsible professional legal work in the CityAttorney\'s Office, excellent communication skills, and sound legaljudgment. The employee may be assigned diverse legal activitiesincluding providing legal advice to City officials, agencies, andbodies; drafting and reviewing legislation, legal opinions, contracts,and other documents; conducting civil litigation; and other general lawpractice consistent with the needs of the organization. This classencompasses all non-managerial team positions engaged in professionallegal work within the City Attorney\'s office. Work is performed withvarying degrees of independence as employees gain necessaryproficiencies. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited law school.
