Job Description:This role will provide outstanding Guest Services within our Engineering TEAM, responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of the hotel. Cultivate and inSPIRE team members to grow their potential with SPIRE, by providing leadership, the tools, and resources for their success as well as the opportunities they need to grow as an individual and excel in their hospitality career but do not forget, you are a team member too! and we are here to support you.Role and Responsibilities:An Assistant Chief Engineer is primarily responsible for meeting and maintaining guest satisfaction by providing refined and well-crafted details from the moment the guest arrives at the hotel, providing comfort and a visual experience that will not be forgotten or mistaken. Provide leadership and empowering the Engineering TEAM to strive for excellence and repeat business.Ensure exceptional customer service by setting a positive example and providing our guests with the best service, courtesy, and care by responding promptly to guest requests, concerns, and complaints to ensure overall satisfaction.Review and share guest comments and scorecard results with team members to celebrate achievements. Plan, organize and conduct departmental daily pre-shift and team member meetings monthly.Fosters strong working relationships within Engineering and, equally important, with other departments by communicating effectively, verbally, and writing to provide clear direction, assigning and instructing team members in work details. Share any relevant information with corresponding departments to ensure a successful outcome daily.Lead, direct, and organize all aspects of Engineering activities and operations. Ensure the highest quality standards for maintaining all areas of the hotel, physical building structure, guest rooms, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment per energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs to ensure maximum profitability.Use an effective inspection program to ensure all maintenance, renovations, repairs, and the safety and efficiency of building and equipment - as stated above and applying company policy, procedures, and service standards in coordination with the Chief Engineer or General Manager.Participate in the management of all rehabilitation, expansion, and special projects.Adhere to all corporate required purchasing policies and controls, including all outside contractor bids, budgets, and schedules.Maintain effective energy management and preventative maintenance programs, conducting special training for other operating departments on the hotel's safe and effective equipment and energy use.Inform the General Manager and hotel department leaders regularly regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, and cost-effective proposals for maintaining the same.Interview, hire, and train in the procedures and techniques of Engineering. Training includes detailed instruction on service standards, preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations, sanitation, chemicals for different surfaces and procedures, and how to report on issues and work orders.Supervise the adherence to all applicable federal, state, local safety and health regulations and corporate standards.As part of the Safety Team, assist with leading and performing in the hotel's safety programs such as OSHA/Safety programs, Emergency Evacuation and Fire Alarm Response, creating awareness throughout the hotel and everyday job functions.Develop, implement, and monitor work schedules for all Engineering operations, determining days off, ensuring staffing levels are based on occupancy, and any current or anticipated projects for continued maximization of profits.Submitting timely and accurate payroll records to ensure team membe
